At the end of 2025, TÜV Rheinland auditors were frequently present at the Dresden headquarters of InfraTec GmbH Infrarotsensorik und Messtechnik: On the one hand, the three-year recertification according to ISO 9001 was due. The globally recognized standard defines how a quality management system (QMS) can be established, implemented, maintained, and continuously improved. On the other hand, the company sought certification of its environmental management system according to ISO 14001 for the first time – with success!
Starting out as a small engineering firm, InfraTec GmbH Infrarotsensorik und Messtechnik now employs 240 people in both business areas. For founders and managing directors Matthias Krauß and Matthias Heinze, the employees and their innovative strength are an important pillar of success. In three and a half decades, the family-run Dresden-based company has been able to assert itself on the market and grow continuously.
In April 2024, the process of constructing the new extension building at InfraTec GmbH Infrarotsensorik und Messtechnik reached its completion after less than two and a half years. In addition to new offices, spacious production and development areas for thermography cameras and infrared detectors have been established over a total area of 2700 m².
InfraTec's largest investment project to date at the Dresden site continues to take shape. Following the topping-out ceremony in December 2022, the exterior facade of the new building has now been completed and the outdoor area will also soon be taking on form.
Since 2017, the Technical University of Dresden has organised the "BeING Inside" practical project week for A-level pupils and students in semesters 1 to 5 with an enthusiasm for engineering. This year, InfraTec supported the event as a cooperation partner, during which an industrial project was simulated under close-to-reality conditions.
