In April 2024, the process of constructing the new extension building at InfraTec GmbH Infrarotsensorik und Messtechnik reached its completion after less than two and a half years. In addition to new offices, spacious production and development areas for thermography cameras and infrared detectors have been established over a total area of 2700 m².
InfraTec's largest investment project to date at the Dresden site continues to take shape. Following the topping-out ceremony in December 2022, the exterior facade of the new building has now been completed and the outdoor area will also soon be taking on form.
Since 2017, the Technical University of Dresden has organised the "BeING Inside" practical project week for A-level pupils and students in semesters 1 to 5 with an enthusiasm for engineering. This year, InfraTec supported the event as a cooperation partner, during which an industrial project was simulated under close-to-reality conditions.
The current investment project of the Dresden-based company InfraTec GmbH Infrarotsensorik und Messtechnik has taken shape in the past year 2022 given challenging general conditions.
Infrared technology has exclusive and sometimes mysterious properties because it uses electromagnetic radiation, an invisible, but at the same time, omnipresent force. It can be used, for example, to measure temperatures and gas concentrations, for early fire detection and to track down energy losses.
