High-resolution ImageIR® IR Camera Series with Cooled Detectors
The high-end thermographic cameras of the product series ImageIR® from InfraTec meet the highest demands in research and science, for non-destructive inspection as well as for process control. The modular concept enables excellent adaption to your specific measurement and inspection tasks. Cooled photon detectors of different types (InSb, MCT), spectral sensitivity ranges and formats are used. Professional VarioCAM® IR Camera Series
More than 30 models of the VarioCAM® High Definition product series include premium infrared cameras as well as entry models to high-level thermography. The equipment versions “research” and “inspect”, which are designed for handheld operation, impress with 5.6" TFT colour displays, integrated 8 Megapixel digital cameras, high-performance uncooled microbolometer detectors and robust light-weight metal housings. Innovative Features for High-precision Performance
MicroScan – Quadruple the Image Format
Behind the function is a fast-rotating MicroScan wheel, which is integrated into the camera. It ensures that four different individual exposures are taken per wheel revolution, which are offset laterally by half a pixel each. These individual exposures are brought together in real time into a thermogram with quadruple image format. Each pixel in the image represents a genuine temperature measured value and not an interpolated image point. In this way, thermography achieves a new quality due to thermal images providing a spatial resolution up to 5.2 Megapixels.
HighSense – Always the Optimal Camera Setting
Thanks to HighSense, ImageIR® users have the option of setting up individual measuring ranges based on the factory calibration that best suit the respective task. The software also offers the possibility of storing a large number of such areas clearly arranged. Individually named and permanently stored, the operator can quickly access them. The same applies to changing, renaming and deleting profiles. HighSense is available for different camera models of the ImageIR® series. This function can optionally be added to systems already delivered.
High-speed Mode – Increase Frame Rate and Thermal Resolution
The principle behind this option is called binning. Four pixels of adjacent lines and columns are combined into one pixel in each case. Consequently, the number of pixels of the resulting thermal image decreases. However, the FOV remains constant, so that the scene section captured with the camera does not change. Switching between both speed modes is done conveniently by software. In addition to speed, the signal-to-noise ratio improves in high-speed mode by a factor of approximately 2 due to the larger effective pixel area. This increase in thermal resolution ensures that even smaller temperature differences can be detected reliably.
